  • I've not had much sauternes in my time, and certainly none of the good (very expensive) stuff, but this juicy little young un has a mainly honey nose with a little stone fruit: and the palate has tangerine flesh freshness with a pithy bitterness following. There's a slight suggestion of tinned peaches and even a creaminess in the surprisingly long finish.

I've no idea how 'correct' this is but I like it. Light bodied and fresher than most sauternes I've tried but with some depth too. In the late summer sun straight from the fridge this is great.

    Getting more? Too right.

  • Very typical decent young Sauternes.
I remember honey and a little grapefruit.
I buy this every so often and I'd certainly get another 2018.
