Double Blind tasting Pale gold color with rose tint Medium plus aromas of bruised apple/ honey and yellow florals with distinct oxidative notes Medium bodied with palate of lemon peel and dry rocks / saline - creamy mouth feel from presumed lees contact Medium plus acidity and moderate phenolics with medium acidity Medium finish led by acid and phenolic bitterness Tasting partner warned me of the unexplained/ unintentional oxidation but I went with blind tasting nonetheless I guessed an aged Muscadet based on mouthfeel but following the reveal, this really did have all the features of a nice Albarino other than the unexpected oxidation which we are blaming on an ill fitting cork

Not scored as was somewhat oxidized, but still chose to do tasting notes as underlying typicity still apparent. Cork seemed pale in color and pulled easily. Brought to a blind tasting. Bought from a wine shop I've used several times before. Medium gold, which seemed dark for this varietal of this age. Aromatics medium +. Initial oxidative note. Bruised apple, honey nuts and banana yeast. No new oak. Palate has a medium + body. Round mouthfeel of lees contact. Acid medium +. Moderate phenolics. Alcohol medium. Old lemon and rocky minerality. Finish had an average length. Balance towards the structure. Dry glass notes of oxidation So despite the flaw of oxidation, this still as the structure of an Albariño regarding phenolics and acids well as some salinity and citrus palate. I've had several bottles from this producer before without any quality issues. The cork seemed pale in color and was not tight.

Our last bottle of the 2020 vintage. The primary apple/citrus fruit has faded and been replaced with an attractive balance of salinity and a hint of sweetness. At three years old this is not going to get better but has been an enjoyable seafood wine and we move with expectation to the 2021.

Another fine bottle- slightly more pronounced citrus fruit with a hint of briny salinity as opposed to the more tropical fruit of youth

Flowers and salinity in the Nose , also reflected in the mouth, High acidity, pronounced salinity supporters by the fruit backbone.
