Amazing how long these can go. Less advanced than the 05 Alliet a few days ago. Almost no perceptible tannin left, but still some real freshness to the fruit. Just tasty. No rush, obviously.

Saved a couple of these to see if they could age...the answer is that they certainly can. Very little development, in fact--a little less fresh fruit, and perhaps a few faint tertiary notes on the nose, but that's it. More than anything, this bottle reminded me that recent vintages, while certainly nice, lack the inky density and some of the tension of their counterparts from a few years earlier. Not sure what the stylistic change is due to.

Wow - this wine just keeps improving with age. Still a vibrant ruby red, with only slight fading. Nose is classic Chinon/Cab Franc, with tobacco, cherries, and leather. Great energy on the palate, with fruit still fairly primary but more tobacco and mineral on the finish. This feels like it is still in a very good drinking window, if not still on the way up. Incredible value.

Wow! It's only 4 days into this year, but this is a contender for the best value red of the year. A harmonious blend of rich dark fruit, leather, black tea, acidity, and tannins. Excellent.

Very nice - burgundy like with light body and cedar/oak flavors, but with some dark fruit flavor like a cab
