Probably the best bottle of this I've had to date. Some petrol on the nose. A bit of time in the glass serves to complete the integration of acidity into the body of the wine. Off-dry, with a sweetness that reminds of pineapple. Lingering finish. Really almost demands to be paired with traditional German food, or to be carried on a winter day in a wine skin. A killer QPR @ $8, and possibly my last bottle.

Two years since I've had this wine, and it has really smoothed out. Tropical fruits on nose and palate with a hint of coconut. Acidity has been largely absorbed, but is somewhat present in the background. A drying note on the finish. Update: 4 days later poured what little was left into a glass. Wow!! Acidity almost completely folded into the wine, no drying note on the finish. Midpalate has become richer and perhaps a bit sweeter with the addition of a peach note I hadn't noticed earlier. This has happened a few times now, where a bottle of Riesling forgotten in the fridge is better much later when found. I'd score it today @ 92-93 points, realizing that such a score is a complete outlier as compared to other tasters. A great Kabinett.

I am used to the cloying sweet cheap rieslings that my mother favors. This isn't one of those. While I am no expert and I am new to good rieslings, I do like this one. Dry with apricot, pear and mineral. Very nice. I am a fan.

What a nice wine. Fruity and light with moderate acidity. A great summer on the deck wine.
