  • Drank over two nights. Dark maroon. Thick, slow-forming legs. Fresh fruit (mostly strawberries), and oak on the nose. The initial palate tastes like children's chewable aspirin. There's some oak on the mid-palate that actually compliments the fruit nicely. Earth, a little acidity and counterbalancing tannins. Not much complexity, but enough stuffing to hold the drinker's interest. Medium to full-bodied fruit. However, it becomes a little attenuated on the finish, probably suggesting that this needs to be consumed sooner than later.

  • At first gives off a earthy, smokey nose. Pretty tight at first with earthy flavors and some strawberry. Put it through Venturi which brought out vanilla on nose and smoothed out flavors of earth and showed classic Oregon Pinot dark fruits. Let open at least 30 mins. Drinking well now. Don't wait too much longer on this.

  • Drinking really very well right now, above it's price for me. Smokey strawberry and cherries on the nose, really beautiful at the moment. Nice bright fruit, not a ton of complexity but a very nice drinking wine. Audozed for 4-5hours prior to the first glass, then drank over 4 hours. Very well done.

  • Nice color, structure and balance. Just seems to be missing the fruit.

  • Not wild about this bottle--though my wine merchant (Emily), who is usually right on describes it as containing elements of cherry, smoke, and earth--descriptions which usually mean I will like a wine. I bought three bottles so I am interested to see if the next one plays better.
