From the Yamhill-Carlton district of Willamette Valley, Soter’s Mineral Springs Pinot Noir is among their best sites and the 2005 vintage was the inaugural release of the label. Elegant aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant and the faintest top note of Market Spice Tea, dried rose petals and incense. The frame is quite spare and lean, communicating purity of fruit stony minerality. This, underpinned by layers of fine-grain tannins, black fruit, and floral tones, leaving the impression of delicacy and power.

Another great bottle. Had it with 2007 Laetitia La Colline and no match. Tis had much longer finish, much better balances, favors more balanced with nothing standing out.

Dark cherries, spice. Lush , soft tannins and pretty well balanced. Holding up well.

remarkable wine. slow evolution has certainly lowered the fruit and brought out more of the secondary and tertiary flavors. Lovely wine.
