nose - beautiful red berry mouth - also lovely red fruits. juicy and easy to drink but whats most notable to me is the fruit purity here. acidity provides lift and structure though there are certainly some remnant tannins

Really unpleasant - I nearly dumped this out several times but kept putting it back in the frodge for another day; Eventually drank it but this was a funky barnyard mess for days; Heavy secondary fermentation; Had another similar Morgan from another producer the same week that was equally bad - maybe it’s time to start using a bit of sulfur again in Beaujolais?

After trying 2021 which was a great intro into Foillard’s portfolio, I was happy to spot a year older vintage. Whole cluster fermentation, aged for 7 months in used oak, unfined and unfiltered. Medium ruby. Intense aroma of cranberries, chocolate, smoke, farmyard, leather, iodine, cherries, strawberries. Medium body, vibrant and tense, needs another 2-3 years to settle together. Rustic notes which with air dissipates letting in red berry and floral flavours, hints of spices, high acidity, mild tannins.

similar in zip to the Cote du Py, though less full fruited, makes for a juicy, fresh, and overall lovely drink.

Very decent wine here and great value. Nose with some brett and VA, dark fruit, aromatic. Silky tannins, light bodied but not thin.
