Pol Roger Wine Society 150th Anniversary Tasting (Churchill War Rooms): Dosage 7 g/l. First vintage of this wine was 59. Pale. Taut. On the nose - spritzy, a hint of churchyard? This prompted the oak question which led to a story about how PR has been vinifying solely in steel for some time now. There's good balance here, light on its feet. My wine of the tasting.

Sthlm Food & Wine Champagne-tastings (Älvsjömässan, Stockholm): (Disgorged in July 2021, 100% Chardonnay, dosage 7 gr/l) Lovely nose showing tropical mandarin citrus, minerals and chalk and opens up with some spciness as well in a very pleasant way. Smoothing citrus acidity with a gentle touch of tropical mandarin citrus on the mid and with a lovely creamy note on the finish also showing some candied lemons. This is very accessible from the start, but should reward some further cellaring as well. (Best 2025-2035)

Le Tour de Champagne tasting (Amsterdam, NL): Quite a rich style/vintage. A bit less structure than the Brut Vintage 2016, but this is more appealing for me. Orchard fruit, nutty, warm biscuits. 6 years sur lie. 92-93

Fresh, lemon, biscuits. Probably needs to age a bit for added complexity

Le Tour de Champagne Tasting (Olofskapel, Amsterdam, NL): Trade tasting, brief note. Toasty, complete, elegant, perfect weight, silky and seamless, wonderful fruit expression, harmonious, Grand Vin.
