Pale yellow. Nose of fresh oregano, citrus. Mouth needed time to open. Decant 2+ hours. Taste opened to pear, fresh herbs ( but not green like pepper). Very good but let it age a few years.
Opened and left standing and chilling for two hours first; tasted from a Zalto-style Chardonnay glass. Big, expressive palate: lemon zest and pulp with lemon candy undertones, Seville orange, and a sweet/sour interplay that works well with the potent acidity. Hints of vanilla and oak aromas, but primarily focused on subtle varieties of orange and lemon citrus fruits. Malolactic character comes through after the wine warms up in your glass. Keep this for at least 2-3 more years.
very young as you would expect. Decanted for 4 hours and drank over another 2+. It needed the air. Lanolin, tropical fruit and early on a bit hollow. Rounded out well, these wines to me are best slightly chilled, not cold, needed time to warm up. I have other 2020 Auberts and will wait at least 4-5 years but with enough air these are approachable and very good. Not a great Aubert, but very enjoyable
