Oldest wine I’ve had yet. Pretty average. Interesting mix of primary and tertiary notes. Very soft mouthfeel, well integrated. Very softened red fruit notes, leather, some earth. Relatively short finish but complex

Brought this magnum to a special company event to take the opportunity to share an "aged" California Cabernet with folks who generally only drink the youngsters available on wine lists. Great fun to see and hear the reactions to this very well-made sleek and smooth wine, with its soft mouth feel, dark red fruit flavors, and gentle hints of cedar, tobacco, and leather that combine to make it a classic example of what one should drink with steak!

Enjoyed this wine with a steak dinner. The wine had nice acidity which cleansed the palate with ever sip. Dark cherry, plum, cedar, leather, licorice, soy sauce flavors. Tannin was nearly resolved and the finish was somewhat short <5 sec. Not a big wine, but very nice overall; especially at this age. I don't see it going downhill soon, but also don't see it improving much either...drink soon.

Pure, pristine, polished. Dark fruits, touch of licorice, trace of tannin. A sleek beauty. 13.8% alcohol.
