  • A delight! Dark ripe red fruit, ripe blackberry and cassis, ripe strawberry notes, a masculine wine, more depth than acidity, background of baked vanilla, nose still a bit tight so these flavors are not so much in the nose but in the warm pallette. after 30 minutes too so, the fruit has not changed but the tannins open to asphalt, spicy pepper, cinnamin, and netmeg, are the end note. Aging potential is there. This wine was cellared recommended temp.

  • Nice sfursat. There's raisin, toast, orange peel and an herbal quality. It's not particularly nuanced, but there's a very drinkable balance of the Nebbiolo tannin and good body. This will probably last a while, a lighten up a bit, but it's delicious now. Five days later, it's plump and viscous, like chocolate covered raisins.

  • Brief - Similarities in the nose to the Grumello. Heavier, structure more apparent, a bit sweet. In the end, lingering note of semisweet black licorice.
