Blind tasted. Pink tinge to the golden aspect. Orange zest, hay, peach. Warm and generous aromas with a natural wine tattoo. High acidity and chalky tannins. Dry and mineral finish unlike the nose. Stumped. Became more obvious on seeing the bottle and the ripeness of the late harvest Chenin showed itself more in day 2. Ambivalent about the style - I guess I prefer more classic Chenins from the Loire...

Bought blindly at Cave de Baille Marseille. Pnp still blind in zalto. Hue with pink bordersNice nose of hay, butter, pastry and orange zest (Cpt Cutlass). Palate expressive, mineral, packed whith yeast, marocan lemon confit, white pepper, white spices. Lemonade. Needs decanting or cellaring. …. New experience of Joly since ten years.

Loire / Jura night: Excessively high alcohol (said 14.5% on the label) that gave the impression of a plodding wine, despite having a good intensity of ripe exotic fruits such as pineapple and melon. Thought that the wines from this domaine were a little more restrained after the changing of guard but guess I was wrong. Definitely was well-made in terms of the intention of the winemaker but it was too much for me.

Wild wine. Botrytis, funk, and tart yellow fruits. Started off slightly effervescent and that dissipated. Dried pineapple, saffron, mirabelle.
