I felt like this wine was just barely hanging on. It was clear with a dark, bronze color. The nose was over ripe white fruit that was somewhat oxidized. Still it held together, medium bodied, white ripe fruit with richness that held together with acid and a long semi sweet finish

A: Deep Gold N:Medium (+) nose of peach, ginger, baked asian pear, some honey, honeysuckle, pineapple, oatmeal P: Off dry, high acidity, high alcohol, full body, medium (+) intensity, long finish C: This is very well balanced between the VERY ripe fruit and the RS vs the and the refreshing acid. The Length of this is ideal and the intensity is notable. The wine shows clear complexity with in excess of 5 descriptive clusters represented. Its and outstanding quality wine already showing signs of development (ginger and oatmeal) Its not my cup of tea. I would prefer this drier. I like the producer but I have had better at lower prices. $73/bottle. Not one I'll need to visit again in a hurry.

Dark yellow color. Nice nose of Golden Delicious apples and Asian Pear. Minerally, nice acidity, complex flavors of yellow apples, peaches, pear. Oak and honeysuckle on the nice medium ending, with touches of green almonds. My first Savennieres and decidedly a good wine.
