Turley's 2022 Juvenile is a richly aromatic wine, packed with dark bramble fruits, pickling spice, cedar and licorice. Medium-to-full-bodied and with lively acids, it delivers a flavor payload that is commensurate with the aromas, adding a component of apricot on the mid-palate. The oak and tannins are quite well-assimilated, which is also the case for the wine's alcohol (15.2%) when served at the proper temperature of 60-65°F. Medium-to-long on the back end, this is an enjoyable Zinfandel that will provide plenty of pleasure over the next 3-4 years. Tasted from a bottle that had been decanted through a Vinturi aerator, this benefited from the first hour in carafe. Enclosed with a Diam 10 cork. Drink now-2028.

Big. Aroma immediately took me to a winery barrel room - oaky, with big, primary, grapey notes, along with ethanol. The alcohol gets in the way of this wine; it's very much in the forefront of the aroma and flavor profiles. Red grapes and very ripe blackberry notes round out the flavor.

Very approachable given it's so young, you get intro-Turley at a very fair price. Rich deep fruit, spice, long finish.
