An intense colour. The nose was restrained at first (much fuller next day). The palate was surprisingly savoury and lacked much fruit at first but it showed some mulberry flavours after time in the glass with a little raspberry on the late palate. Interesting, with some complexity, good acidity, soft integrated tannins. It improved a little next day and needs more time in the cellar. We really did not enjoy it in its youth; not our style of PN. 88 at this stage.
