Was my bottle defective? I know I was drinking this a bit early but I thought it was thin. Very disappointing from a wine I was really looking forward to opening.

{cork, 13%} Quite a dark ruby, but with overt pinot translucency to it. Developing meaty aromas. Light-bodied palate, faint dusty tannins, dark cherry fruit. Medium acidity. But not enough depth, length or interest on the palate. Shame. Although, as I often point out, Croser's wines invariably disappoint in my experience, despite his exalted guru reputation. Can't see any point in cellaring this further.
