Balanced, complex nose, with nothing dominant: red cherry and blackberry, fragrant notes of pomegranate and saffron, leather, and a bit of funk. Delicate palate, with falling-apart tannins and mild acidity. Flavours of saffron, red cherry, cardamom, and cola. The palate is smoothed by slight oxidation.

Burgundian styling. Restrained but intense. Very lean in its styling. Long length. Hopefully age will give it savouriness and weight. Probably best with food.

Great nose. Burgundian with its delicate intensity. Palate however very new world. Different but not Burgundy. Nice fruit but offset by some tart bitterness at the end of the palate. Needs more age to intergrate??

Nose: Wow. Lovely concentrated Burgundy nose (94) Palate: Disappointing - too watery and a slightly bitter finish (84). Oak management may be an issue. Probably served too young [at Quay restaurant Sydney]

Rusty red colour. Reticent aromas - there was a lot of swirling to extract the somewhat delicate aromas of rose, rasberry and red cherry. Very red fruited.
There were also muted red fruits on the palate, but these were somewhat overcome by the fine, savoury, slightly herbal tannins. It's well made but not my style of pinot. A bit young to fully appreciate, I must admit. Only medium length.
A nice intellectual exercise but not much passion.
