An Afternoon of Azelia Barolo (E&R Wines, Portland OR): The nose is rich, yet lifted with tones of red cherries, strawberries, roasted herbs, red currants, spice notes, juniper berries, licorice, liqueur notes, and some rose petals. There is good depth with this showing off a lovely, open-knit take to the nose. The Full bodied feel is balanced, but with a richer side along with crisp, high acidity and silky, high tannins. The structure isn't too overpowering as it shows off a silkier quality. I would love to try this down the road after some of the baby fat sheds.

An incredible visit with Lorenzo Scavino at Azelia! An organic producer making incredible wines. Not having had the wines beforehand I was floored how incredible their portfolio is- so diverse, unique and simply delicious! Great visit!!!
Lots of tannins, red Fruit, much more structure. Needs years

Tasted at @Jeroboams 'Fiesta Piedmontese'. Short note: Earthier than the Bricco Fiasco. Still aromatic, but much darker and denser on the palate. Lots of grip, very fine tannins. Savoury character on finish.

Only had a glass over an hour but definitely needs more time but has potential.
