The tannins are just starting to mellow. Opened up after about an hour but will save my other bottles for a few more years. Drinking nicely but will improve.

Pretty dark ruby color with a touch of purple. Takes a moment to open up but beautiful notes of dark fruit (blackberries, dark red cherries, plum), licorice, black tea, notes of iron, minerality, some lavender, crushed flowers. It‘s medium-full bodied, with good mid-palate persistence but also excellent freshness with medium-high acidity. Medium-high tannin that is silky but present. Excellent length. A beautiful, complex and pretty big Serralunga Barolo from this great producer and underrated vintage.

taste: chewy tannins with medium/high acidity and powerful tones of red fruits, dark red cherries, oak and some spices
overall: the oak isn't as pronounced as the regular barolo, but it is there. Good aromatics with a red fruit base, if the oak can integrate and some weight is added, then this could get really better

From magnum with a 1.5 hour decant. Typical Barolo flavors with a long finish and very good body.

Coravin PNP. Maybe unfair without decant. Strong Balsamic note on the nose. Still grippy tannins. Good fruit. With air probably higher.
