A whopping 10g/l residual sugar (considered low for this cuvee, which is not produced every year), but in no way cloying or overbearing. Cinnamon, quince notes with pure citrus fruit. Read some comments about Chidaine’s wines lacking acidity which I agree with to some extent as it wasn’t at the forefront, but this was still a beautifully balanced and serious wine.

Gorgeous Chenin. Aromas of pineapple, quince, pear, wet stones, sweet flowers, a little something delightfully fungal... round and silky on the palate, great texture and depth here. Long on luscious fruit. This should be worth following at least 5 years, if not 10 or 15.

Light yellow colour. Nose is somewhat developed, mineral, with notes of citrus and some honey and wool. Mouthfeel is off dry, somewhat developed, fresh and mineral, with nice acidity and notes of honey, citrus, white peaches and wet gravel.
This off-dry chenin blanc from Montlouis actually has a quite dry touch despite 15 g/l of residual sugar. It's still slightly restrained and will probably benefit from more time in the cellar, however, it is actually already quite enjoyable after some aeration. A serious and very good wine.

Off dry. There are some lovely notes of toffee apple and honeysuckle with an oxidised/rioja blanco edge. Has a lovely salinity but is perhaps a little clunky on the palate. Certainly has the chew for long aging and perhaps this is exactly what is required.

White colored wine, sweet on the nose. Really fucking good. Tastes like Martinelli’s apple juice. 8.5/10
