Apricot, honey. I can see some floral notes that others are reporting. Less sweet than I expected, and also a bit less acidity than I hoped to get. Would be nice with a soft cheese. I tried to pair with a spicy dish but it didn’t hold up. Tina: semi sweet, bordering on too high alcohol. She likes it and likes the age. 89 points, paid $25.

First chenin. Reminded me of port on the nose with fairly strong honey notes. Best served with soft cheese or fruity dessert. Had with goat cheese and strawberry shortcake. Little too sweet for me

Pale Amber in color Aromas of ripe fruit, honey Palate - stewed/bruised apple/pear/(banana) 13.5% Abv - Tendre - being off-dry Good mouth feel/texture/Med+ body Medium acidity, Medium + finish Would be a nice finish after dinner, not as a heavy dessert wine - but the perceived sweetness would work here with dessert. Or this would also be great with a nice spicy Asian inspired dish.

I agreed with another note that this was more advanced than expected. Upon pouring the color concerned me, as it looked like a badly pox'd burg - started a little funky too... half hour later it fleshed out amazingly. Round orchard fruits, slippery mouthfeel and a bit of florals. Very enjoyable - could use more acids to balance, but this was a very nice showing - though the advanced state is cause for concern.
