The purity of fruit is what makes this vineyard—and this producer—a standout for me. Robust yet refined notes of black and red plums and cherries, accented by cola, sassafras, and a medley of baking spices. This is a complete wine, possessing depth without being overpowering, and nicely pairing with tonight’s dinner of cacio e pepe.

Savory red and blue fruits, black tea and pomegranate. This is supported by a balanced structure of good acidity and very fine tannins with a really nice and lengthy finish. This an outstanding wine with upside potential. 94+ Drink now with a brief decant or 2025 - 2027+.

Pale to medium ruby, mulberry, cinnamon stick, clove, and black cherry on the first nose followed by cherry liqueur, hints of vanilla, and dried herbs, plump on the attack with red, and blue fruits, spice, earth, orange rind, medium minus acidity and soft tannins, finishes with layered red berry fruit, earth, strong minerality, a step up in acidity, and lingering char/astringent notes
Note: Clearly a solid pinot but maybe not my style

California 2023; 8/13/2023-8/22/2023: Cherry forward, bright, raspberry, touch of earth but not nearly as much as the B Thieriot, nice acid. Love the fruit profile here and my preferred Pinot today
