  • Pnp. Typical plummy purple red. Luscious black and purple fruits and toasty vanilla oak on the nose. Slightly jammy black fruit tastes on the palate, yet feels a bit lean or hollow in the middle. Fairly linear and one dimensional. Dry finish. Well made but it feels like this is not built for a ling life. Frankly not that interesting and definitely not worth the price tag.

  • Ruby in the glass, lighter than previous vintages I've had. Cherry on the nose. Some darker fruit and leather flavours. Lighter tannins, and medium acidity.
I'm not a fan of where this is right now, and compared to the 2019 I opened in August last year it currently falls short of what I expected. To be fair, it's a significant difference in blend.
I'm not writing it off yet, I have a bunch more in the cellar and might revisit in a year to see how it's progressing.

  • I have enjoyed the 2018 vintage and this may have been better. Proper decanting time required given the young age of this wine. It could lay down for several more years.

Tart cherry, dark fruit, vanilla, cassis, oak and tobacco. Nicely structured notes and lengthy finish with leather and dark berry flavors.

Med+/full bodied, med acidity, youthful tannins and dry. Very smooth and delicious. Paired with tenderloin medallions, asparagus and potatoes. Very consistent Canadian product here. Definitely a favorite.

  • Dark burgundy in color. This wine is young and needs another 3 to 5 years before opening. Lots of red fruit and appears lighter bodied than previous vintages. Cassis and liquorice with some Asian spices. Should be interesting as constituents knit together over time.
