  • This medium salmon-colored wine was vinified entirely from Austria's most planted red wine grape, Zweigelt, which is a cross between Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent. When vinified into red wine, many describe Zweigelt as tasting similar to Pinot Noir. Bottled with a Stelvin screwcap, this wine was opened and serially tasted over two hours. Sporting a light spritz and modest reductive notes which dissipate after the first 30 minutes, it offers moderately intense aromas and flavors of Montmorency cherries, strawberries, Hami melon and pickled ginger. Light-bodied, fresh, unoaked and without noticeable alcohol (listed as 11.5%), it has good mid-palate presence and concludes with a medium-length, lifted finish. Enjoy this refreshing rosé over the next year or so. Drink now-2024.

  • An Applejack buy. I assume this is Pinot Noir, or blaubergunder.

    Color. Pale salmon pink

Nose. Rhubarb, cherry skins, strawberry, and limes.

Palate. Cherries, strawberries, blood orange. Crisp acidity.

    Very delicious!

  • Light color and body, but the flavor is more intense. Strawberry, and general fruitiness. Overall fresh and pleasant, nice acidity, and easy to drink.
