Coravined. Pale straw color. Creamed corn dominates the nose, which isn’t necessarily bad. Smooth, dry palate. Acid provides good overall structure. Not necessarily my style. Had this at a cute wine bar in Montpellier.

Clos de Fées Vieilles Vigne 2020. Anniversary night cap on the terrace with the truly stunning views of Collioure. 100% Grenache Blanc from 100 year old vines. Gorgeous. Peaches, lots of minerals, and a long finish. Aged on the lees. They’re located just northwest of Tautavel and northeast of Perpignan. Apparently the vigneron was a sommelier in Paris, a wine writer and finally a grower and winemaker. Cool story.

At Authentique: another big lush wine, nicely nutty, not too hot
