Unexpectedly good. Outperformed a 2009 Rivers Marie. Perhaps a bit perfumed for some noses and palates, but very, very alluring if you're ok with that. I'm an outlier in my rating of this wine. It may be one of those "there are no good wines, just good bottles" episodes.

A classic 2005 cNapa Claret in every form. Didn't take detailed notes but this had blueberries that were standing out without being over the top. I have always loved the 2005 Napa wines and this brings be back to that time when I was first getting into the hobby and now the 2005's are drinking perfectly IMHO.

A decent, well-balanced, wine, but a bit lacking in concentration. Merlot is definitely predominant, with some vegetal flavors. Could develop more interesting secondary flavors over time, but not sure the fruit will hold up much longer.

8th Annual Holiday Dinner and Cellar Raid - A Month Late (Naperville, IL): Part of wine dinner and cellar raid so did not take detailed notes. First of the 2005 Napa's. This showed much better than I would have thought. Very bright
