A better bottle versus the last one. Perfume, coffee beans, stems and flowers. Palate had lovely acidity and sweetness but just a tad bit short on the length. 92+

Nose bursted out spice, perfume, stems and sweet red currant. Beautiful aromatics is the signature leroy style. Palate was initially a bit lean but built up with more weight and power after 90 mins in the glass. For a 01 leroy, which is my favourite vintage, the wine slightly disappointed on the length and complexity if I take a critical view. 92+

Caught this at the end of its primary drinking time. A bit tired, but still a very long finish, but fruit now getting a bit dried out, so now showing secondary flavors, not lesser, just different.

Forward and typical Leroy spice on the nose. Tart red fruit. Black fruit, some stems. Big up front but falls a little short. Still impressive SLB.
