Terrific. Still quite dark. Lovely nose of spices. Dark palate, resolved, rounded edges, some dried leaves notes. Lovely. Exactly what I wanted after a sea of Rieslings. Suzanne's bottle at Sarah and Jonathan's sausage fest.

Keith Prothero's Christmas lunch (The Ledbury): Deep ruby, Bordeaux colour. Quite intense, powerful, concentrated and extracted - something of a bruiser. Good minerality and length. It doesn't feel like a Savigny. vg+

Choucroute Garnie at Sarah and Jonathan's (Theater District, Manhattan, NYC): Wood, good plummy fruit, spice, earthy. Really powerful. Funky.

On the other hand, this has fully come into its own. It has been drinking well since release, and nothing seems to be changing.
