I liked this wine but agree with some of the previous reviews that it is near the end of peak drinking, and perhaps even slightly past. Color is a very/medium dark yellow, about the max it will be before it starts to turn a bit brown. Initial nose was nice and telling of the genre - honey, beeswax, lavender with a hint of citrus. But the palate was a bit drier than I'd want at this stage (15 years is not that old for an elite riesling). The secondary elements ruled here - stone fruit, mineral and a dry botrytis. But a notable absence of any meaningful fruit you'd expect here and overall the wine at this stage reminded me of a dry white Bordeaux and not necessarily a Wachau riesling. Still a good wine, well made but not the best I've had from here so drink up. Tasted over two nights with consistent notes.

Vintage driven botrytis orientation - honeyed, ripe, tropical yellow and orange citrus fruits, peach kernel. Enough bright acidity keeps this refreshing, but just barely. Long and satisfying.

pretty nose honey, bananas, petroleum. nice fruit on the palate -- green apple and stone fruit. nicely balanced with acidity. medium finish. beautiful wine.

Serious, full throttle, rich, ripe, lots of stone fruit, but plenty of acid to hold it together. Perhaps a little long on the voluptuous fruit at the price of precision, but excellent wine and really ennjoyed.
