  • Delicate nose consisting of white peach, asian pear, and freshly pounded mochi. The mouth confirms the nose - the attack is mildly waxy, the middle reminds of ripe jonagold apple - crisp, powdery, and juicy. The finish is subtly lemony and floral, but the highlight is lingering hidden crystalline acidity, structured like dessert sprinkles (konpeito) - brittle, fine and melts into subtly sweet (although totally dry) salinity. The transition is seamless, and the wine consistently shows a pure and refreshing quality as if my entire tongue tissues immediately welcome it. Humbly rich and truly classy for just $20+.

  • Vivid straw yellow.
Smooth nose, with a nice flavour of mediterrean herbs, sage, and hints of tropical fruits.
Nice acidity and minerality, well balanced with the smoothness of the fruit. Balsamic ending.
    Lacking some structure.

  • Mid yellow. Aroma of nuts, spice, lemon. Great flavour of almond, greengage, melon, touch of ginger. Good balancing acidity. Very fine.

  • I am afraid that I love this wine, so bear that in mind as I review it. This is my second bottle (not at the one sitting!). I wanted to try a second because I enjoyed the first so much that I felt I needed a control to see if my first take on point. This is not a special occasion wine and it is not priced as such.

The colour is green gold and bright. The nose is a heady fruit salad and a touch of yoghurt, with very good length, intensity and freshness. There is almost a touch of honeysuckle and a pleasing touch of minerality. This is a lot of fun, yet it is also serious wine. If you are into QPR this will certainly please you. Delightful drinking.

  • From the wine list at Osteria alla Staffa, Venice. This one was definitely more on the fruit end of the spectrum, creamy mouthfeel, I would have preferred a bit more acidity for balance.
