  • Eye: Light gold to pale straw.

Nose: Rich peaches and green apple, a whisp of oak. The nose is very concentrated with a firm through line of seashell minerality.

Palate: A masterclass in balance. Good acid, rather full bodied and mouth filling. Rich, creamy, crisp, minerally, umami.

Finish: Medium length. Tart yet savory.

Overall: I don’t drink a lot of burgundy, but I have to say this is the single best Chardonnay I’ve ever had.

Enjoyed with: Some reasonably high quality takeout Sushi.

  • Effusive nose of white peach, light toast/grains, and citrus oil. Really attractive. The finish shows good richness adding a note of walnut to the fruit flavors, and there's a bright crunchy acidity emerging on the back end. The finish has excellent mid palate focus leading to flavors of fleshy white peach and walnut. This is a great village level wine in a ripe but pure style that is a great expression of Meursault.

  • Nose: citrus, pear, pineapple, butter, hints of white flower, nutty
Notes: a bit of smooth salinity on the palate. This Meursault has a decent amount of weight in it and offers a long and fulfilling aftertaste. Clearly still in its infancy, it's probably wise to cellar this wine for another 5 years at least before opening it again. I do find that as the result of extreme weather in the vintage, the 2021 seems to show a bit more coolness to the wine while acidity seems more prominent from wines in this vintage. It is noticeable that the 2021 is relatively more "bubbly" with a little bit of minerality on the mouth. This is quite interesting and doesn't seem to be present in previous vintages. Nevertheless, I do prefer a bit more warmth to the palate so this vintage so far has not been a preferred one for me.

  • Pear & hazelnuts & citrus meringue. The ripe house style but with endless tension (the other other fruits flow in here), and a saline-mineral finish that makes it almost seem frizzante.

This is terrific village-level wine, and I even prefer it to the Tessons.

From 8 plots of minimum 50 years of age vineyards, which means quite old for burgundy standards, and it's all there

Light toasted nose, creamy and rich, quite the standard here !

palate is very elegant,t, with a nice finish, elegant and refined, the oak is well balanced and integrated, with a rich mid palate, ! long and tasty...
