Tasting at Tenuta San Leonardo, great experience to taste their newest addition of 2019 side by side with ripe and fully developed 2001. A blend of 60% CS, 30% Carmenere and 10% Merlot, aged for 24 months in new, 2nd & 3rd use FR oak barrels. Deep garnet colour. Intense complex aroma of cassis, prunes, blood, tobacco, leather, potpourri whiffs. Medium+ body, multilayered flavour profile dance of fruit and tertiaries, still in a great shape. Well integrated bright acidity in sync with medium+ velvety tannins.

BYO Centropa "vin utenfor Frankrike" (Centropa, Oslo, Norway): Dyp, mørk rød. Fantastisk god lukt med solbær, sigarkasse og sødmefulle bær. Bordeaux-toner! Følger ikke opp i munnen - godt utviklet, nedtonet frukt med mørke bærtoner, middels syre og tannin. Mellomlang smakskurve med mørke bær i avslutningen. 94 p til duft, 88-89 til smak - og totalt 90.
