Very vibrant - youthful - blueberry, vanilla, and a milk chocolate note- carries through to a similar taste profile but with a touch more oak showing- not complex, little spice but for what this does it does wonderful. Second tier flavors are minor and really of no need here as the primary components carry the day. I can not imagine how big and unruly this must have been in its youth. Little of the 14.9% alcohol showed through

My last Rosenblum zin in my cellar, and also my oldest zin. Not sure why I held the wine so long, other than for a curious look to see how it would hold up. Whereas I used to like these wines, I just don't find them inetresting any longer, years later. Ripe and still oaky. Really doesn't show much other than these two facets.

One of the best bottles of Zin I've had. I had a case of this, down to 1 btl after this one's gone. This has always been one of my favorite Zins. Today, it's drinking close to perfectly. The nose develops a sweet, forward presence after a bit of time in the glass. On the palate, dark berry fruit, vanilla, with a slight peppery undercurrent. Full bodied, but not "in your face"..a rather elegant interpretation of high alcohol, dense fruit. Long finish.

Decanted for an hour. Still opaque deep purple. Black fruit, filling nose. Juicy, mouthfilling black cherry into a long finish.

Purple to the rim with thick legs. Blackberry nose. Blackberry, blueberry, and emerging chocolate on the palate without spice. This is mouthfilling.
