  Pale yellow with a citrusy, not-quite-ripe peach nose. Zippy flavors with maybe a touch of grapefruit. Another splendid Colli Orientali white perfect for summer sipping and with lighter dishes or salads. This grape is also known as Sauvignon Vert (no relation to Sauvignon Blanc) or Sauvignonasse.

  This is very enjoyable as a summer drink with, for example, grilled fish on a sunny New Year's Eve. In Italy it would also be great value for money, whereas in Oz it is pushing it but that is not the fault of the wine, but that of the costs imposed on importing wine.
  
  Nice bright green -white gold hue and the colour proves true on the nose and palate where we have a lovely fresh wine, redolent of pear and a more general 'grapey' character. There is also a flinty, almost smokey character and the finish is long, intense and pleasingly dry.
  
  I jumped into this whilst exercising an atavistic need to deal vengeance on the sea by eating fish. If one can't drain the ocean, then one must strike at its vile denizens. Grilled King George Whiting over coals was subdued nicely by this wine and for that I am grateful.
  
  This would be fun to try against a 'classic dry white' style from WA, preferably one with a fair whack of Semillon, because they are priced about the same and represent similar values in wine.
