We opened, let it breathe for an hour and then decanted. Was a bit hot at first, but mellowed nicely. Spicy nose - nice feel in the mouth and a smooth finish.

A little hot to start. Bottle actually was better the second night and continued to improve the longer it was open, so apparently this could go a lot longer in bottle.

Enjoyed this quite a bit more than the last bottle. On the nose, a sweet fruit and oak. On the palate, more rounded and full without the overt harshness the last bottle had. Medium-heavy body. Better the second night, and easily the best wine I had tonight. Once it warmed up (stored in the fridge), it gained a length of finish to push it to 90 pts for me.

Deep tanzanite color leads to a nose of white pepper, dark plum, and dark cherry. Fruit dominates the medium full body with the flavors from the nose carried forward into the palate. I also notice some tar and licorice. Oak treatment is noticable but pleasant on the finish. Just as good on day 2 as day 1. Very enjoyable.

Soft supple mature syrah. Mild fruit and reserved nose. In a good place now, nut sure it will get much better or have a long life ahead. Drink now.
