Sweet spice, savoury black fruits, smells 'wet', a little wood glue underpin. Juicy, savoury, fleshy, slightly peppery spice, lightweight black fruits, cats tongue rasp to the tannic burr. Nice.

A very nice surprise as this particular bottle was absolutely on point. These wines always seem asleep until they have at least 10 years of age in them, and the evolution from the last bottle I tried in 2016 is amazing. This was a pure radiant beam of pinot fruit.

Everything is in the right place...a little bit boring right after opening but a 3-4 hour slow ox opened it up and brought out some nuance. A delicate, feminine, contemplative wine...pair food with that in mind.

Smaking med Etienne de Montille: Noe lukket på nese. Søtlig med røde bær og florale toner. Hint av VA. Bløt inngang. Mørk rødbærsfrukt med lett, bitre toner. Tørr avslutning med noe smørtoner. 89/90 P

(de Montille Volnay Mitans) Medium colour. Red fruit dominates the nose - jam tarts. Good texture and plenty of tannin that's balanced by the cream-edged fruit. The acidity helps to push the finish quite long. Very nice

A nice little wine, but not too memorable.
