A little reductive, however, after adding a penny, the reduction died down and this is just stellar. Sour cherries, blueberries, pork shoulder, lilacs, baked walnuts and smoky black pepper. Full and remains light, with this starchy middle and a flowing back. There’s energy, yet concentration and a fine acidity throughout. Not high octane at all, yet there’s this jubilance. A total winner. Fine tannins. Waiting will not hurt, but if you are so inclined to drink now, then decant. Drink 2026 - 2038.

At downtown tasting room. Relatively tight for a Donna's, though typically floral and pepper driven profile. Boysenberry and pepper up front, structure enters on the mid palate, silky texture, like a young BDX in terms of the palate progression, huge potential. Copious, ripe tannins hang on the long finish.
5 additional years feels about right, given the structure and tightly wound aromatics.

Nice Syrah. Needs more time. Should be aged a couple more years. Good fruit and not overwhelming.
