  • I really liked it but some many were divided over its funky nose. A wine maker speculated it was acetobacter but couldn't exclude bret. Anyway, great tannic structure and good acid levels. Still with enough fruit to balance it out. Drank well for the evening.

  • Opening and first drank four hours after opening. Mature nose, a little thin. The initial palate has this wine at the end of the line. The fruit is nearly gone, there is still some minerality present and that is OK. It's the finish that's the worry, we are closing in on wine's inevitable end if left too long in the bottle. After one glass, I had to put aside and give the wine a 2nd chance.
Round Two was better. The minerality still carries the day but some fruit has come out to play though I'm not sure guessing syrah would be reasonable given a blind taste test. The finish is improved, longer with more depth. I still think this is about cooked and should be drank immediately and then it needs at least one day of decanting.

    15,5/20
    note moyenne du groupe: 15,3/20

  • Oak still present, but is is integrated. Very classic notes of bacon, tar, olives etc, unmistakable cote-rotie with plenty of life ahead. If anything the acidity could be said to be a bit low, but I really liked this. Will keep my remaining bottle 3-5 years At party for Erik & his succesful exam.
