  Bottle purchased and taken to the Keiffer home as a gift at their dinner party. They opened the wine with dinner and it was served with broiled New Zealand salmon in a light garlic and olive oil preparation. Similar impression to 1/5/05...The wine was definitely a crowd-pleaser (Keiffers, Glazeners, Robertsons).

  Bright disc. Opaque purple robe with purple rim. Clean nose, showing quite intense aromas of spice box, black cherry and currants. Full-bodied on the palate, with low acidity and medium ripe tannins. The flavors show sweet vanilla enveloping a delicious core of black fruit. Long, smooth finish. This is a "sexy" wine which will be a crowd-pleaser for at least the next five years.
