1/2, decent cork - 30% soaked. Medium garnet core, pale garnet rim. Fragrant red fruit, strawberry - spice, touch of sesame and white pepper too. medium bodied, elegant, with soft, silky tannins, ripe strawberry fruit, touch of plum, plenty of spice, very good length harmonious finish. Excellent, drinking well, absolutely no hurry of course (TWS - drink by 2012😂😂)

Longtime between bottles (2008). Excellent Villages Burgundy. Classic, although a bit light, Burgundian bouquet. Pure fruit with nice balance on a light-bodied palate. An enjoyable quaff.

Very spicy, and quite tannic (in a pleasant way on both counts). New World analog would be John Thomas Willamette Valley. Gets better with air. Tempted to say it will live on for a while, but already noticeable bricking makes me wonder.....

I found this much more interesting than the last bottle. Still slightly high acidity, but now more mellow and good complexity. Dark fruits.
