  Lunch 2022.1 (Grappa Leichhardt): The 2000 was deepish yellow gold in colour with a developed but vibrant nose showing ripe apricot fruit and a mellow nuttiness. The palate was long and concentrated with a background of spicy oak adding complexity to the finish. Overall, the balance of development and retained acidity was spot on and the wine was definitely in the Remoissenet CC style. It will probably never drink better than it did on the day. Plenty of support around the table 19.
