G+ (15.5)......cellared since 1980, at best in 90s, last bottle 97 when 90/91, never the fullest or most complex wine but attractive and fresh benefitting from a year when botrytis came on early and evenly allowing Filhot to produce one of its better wines!

Vraiment excellent après une longue aération. Acidulé comme un bon cidre, mais doux comme le miel, coco, ananas, merveilleuse couleur mi dorée, mi ambrée, une légère pointe de caramel, du gras... Excellent.

A bit over the hill, however, great nose of beeswax, lanolin. Palate sweetness was balanced nicely by the acidity. This went great with the creme brulee.

This has a very nice dark golden colour on the glass with a nose of light honey and apricot marmalade. Not that unctous at all. It is very subtle on the palate. Metallic saffron, apricot juice, and brown sugar are prevalent but not overpowering. Very good simple finish and is definitely drinking nicely right now.
