At full maturity, the wine is medium bodied, earthy and fresh, there is a strong, earth and forest overtone to the red fruit, and just a hint of rusticity in the bright, red fruit finish. There is no reason to hold this for future drinking.

Young , yet approachable. A bit tannic and dry at first. Subsided an hour or do after decanting. Very little sediment. My first 07 that I've cracked open. No comments on how this will age

young, good wine. drank with our cheese course - cendre goat, roquefort, cheddar. tastes of black cherries, cranberries, lead pencil shavings, and a hint of tobacco. austerity and stiff wine that will be good in a few years time.

2012 CellarTracker Bordeaux Trip; 5/21/2012-5/24/2012 (Bordeaux, France): 50% Cabernet Sauvignon / 50% Merlot. Tons of roasted coffee beans are at the forefront on the nose, along with black plums, red cherries, and some tart cranberry aromas. More of that coffee - mocha notes dominate the palate, as well black cherries, cranberries, lead pencil shavings, and a hint of tobacco. This displays soft smooth tannins, along with a medium amount of acidity. Medium+ length finish ending on notes of mocha and cranberries. A simple wine from a tough vintage, this is perfectly acceptable but far from a standout. Good.
