I was searching like a demon for the GMs, they were buried under ripe red cherry fruit, which was elegant and refined for a Bourgone, showing no rusticity. For my palate, the GMs take the form of a peppery/briary/brambly/root vegetable note - as if you took all of those elements, threw them into a blender and then poured a splash into the wine. Here that character was very mild and admittedly, if I wasn't "looking" for it, who knows if I'd have found it. Eminently drinkable and I'd be happy to buy more under $20.
