PnP 2 hours prior to dinner and slow ox in burg glasses. The 2012 is from a Chambolle location & 35yr old vines. Take a CA PN, dial back the fruit, bump up the acid, retain a bit of new world richness and throw in some minerally earthy terroir flavors. Red fruit, spice, meat, mineral and sous bois. These Bourgognes make it easy to pop a Burg any night of the week. 13% alc.

Popped & poured. Nice light, firm, not complex but nice. The tannin was a little tough.
Would it pick up a point or two with more air?

Excellent basic Bourgogne. Pure Pinot nose some earthy well balanced fruit on palate and clean finish. Excellent value

Good grip and solid complexity in an entry wine. Moderate tannin, nice crunchy fruit. Drink now-2027. Recommended.

seemed in between (I hope!), or else it's on the way down. But lacked the energy, the minerality of previous bottles.
