Weekly tasting group #023; A fully blind test. (@ DJ): Nice to have this wine completely blind in my glass 4 years after I tasted it. The wine still has a concentrated dark red color. Ripe dark forest fruits and some dust in the bouquet. On the palate ripe fruits, red as well as black, some earth, a firm amount of sweetness, but also fresh acidity, soft bitterness and round tannin with still some bite. A nice wine; ready now and no real hurry.

Classical Europe: Full bodied wine. A lot of cherries and a lot of oak. Good tannin. Everything is nicely integrated. This wine presents itself much better than earlier this year.

Importer tasting (@ RdG): Soft and sweet start. Soft bitterness. Full bodied. A lot of black fruits. Some complexity. Still young. Needs a few years.
