  keith brought this to dinner at la scala in sommerville. he had purchased the wine in maine. a pleasant and clean wine that went well with my veal, dried cherries and pine nuts. it probably would not have held up to a heftier dish. research indicates that wine from this region is unique because it is 100% barbera whereas, in other areas, it is blended with other grapes. i am wondering whether bruno is included in this fratelli.
