  • A sweet fruity nose hints of this surprisingly good white. Lemon grass and straw hit the pallet right away and carry on through the finish. Not a particularly complex wine, but and excellent QPR at $8/bottle.

  • I bought this wine to make an osso bucco, (braised veal shanks). The salesgirl first showed me spanish wines, but when she took me to the Italian section, she said this was the best choice by far. Based on the results I achieved, this was a good recommendation. I tasted it a little and found it to be okay. Very light bodied yet no off or harsh flavors. I would like to buy it again and try it for drinking. Think it would be a decent table wine to accompany food.

  • Drank over two nights, this was a surprisingly good showing for what is typically ordinary wine in the hands of so many producers. Light body, pale yellow with wisp of green tinge, clear. Some of the prominent characteristics in the nose reminded me of an SB, with grass, straw, and flint, but then also a departure with mild lemon custard, pear, and almond. Vibrant, fairly intense lemon and pear on the attack with just a touch of sweetness along with some nuttiness in the midpalate, with fairly bright, high acidity typical of this varietal. Mild glycerin adding smoothness to the mouthfeel combined with rather intensely concentrated fruit led to a lovely long finish - quite surprising for an everyday white! Refreshing by itself and paired very well with poultry. In the nose nuances lost on day 2, but no fade evident on the palate. Excellent QPR at $10 and will buy without hesitation if I see it again.
