light bodied as expected for a basic level beaujo. Berries on the nose, but also something slightly unpleasant, a dry sensation that detracts from the fruit. Palate is more of the same, decently fruity. Would be better with food, slightly chilled is better as well. Will check on this tomorrow, even colder, and see if it can hold my interest more.

Nice perfumey smells of strawberry, rhubarb, black raspberry, and something like honeysuckle. There's also a tart citric acid thing going on. Overall fairly light and maybe too thin. Short finish. After a lot of air or a day in the fridge, the flavors deepen and pull together, but the perfume is gone. Not my favorite. Wouldn't buy again. There are more enjoyable beaujolais out there.

Old World Pinot Noir. Light in body, austere on the palate. Needs food. [?% a.b.v.; $15.00].

A nice classic Beaujolais. Good presence, all rounder.

Nose: 1pt Windex, 2 pts cherry gobstopper, 1pt: butter, caramel, raspberry; touch of burgundy cinnamon, some wet cardboard (not corkage). Palate: very tannic, saliva inducing.
