Much different from most of the Beaujolais I remember from the past. Little or none of those gamey, simple plum flavors that make Beaujolais so easy to distinguish. This one is rich, dark and juicy and would be very hard to distinguish as Gamay blind. The color is much darker than usual. Typical floral and fresh crushed strawberry nose. Only medium bodied, but still full flavored, quick hitting, mouth full of red fruit with mineral and wet earth supporting flavors.

Excellent value - nice tart red fruit. A joy to drink with or without food.

White pepper on the nose, not as aromatic as I've come to expect from gamay. Bright, bitter cherry, medium tannin finish.
